Welcome to my Chronic Marketer book review.
If you have been involved in internet marketing long, you may already know Brad Gosse. He started online in 1997 with an adult entertainment website. In 2007, he made the switch to mainstream marketing.
Since then, he has become highly successful and sells over 300 popular products. He also travels the world coaching and speaking at IM conferences. In his new book, Chronic Marketer you get an inside look at his experiences.
I got an early review copy of the book, and as I expected, it is as entertaining as it is informational. I literally read the entire book the day it arrived and have already referred back to certain sections.
Brad speaks his mind and doesn’t hesitate to tell you that he enjoys smoking pot, brainstorming ideas, and hiring a good staff to carry them out. He enjoys his lifestyle and teaches you how to reach your own internet marketing goals.
So what exactly is inside Chronic Marketer?
When the book arrived in the mail, it was actually longer than I was expecting. It has 32 chapters that total 246 pages. Like I said before through, it’s entertaining and really well laid out graphically. I started reading when it arrived and finished it up before bed that same night.
There are some content packed chapters like the following that teach you how to automate your online business.
- Creating Intangibles
- Webinars
- Search Engine Optimization
- Outsourcing and Hiring
- Productivity
- You are Not Scalable – Your Content Is
There are other chapters that give you a glimpse into the lifestyle Brad has created for himself.
- Why I Smoke
- Embrace Your Laziness
- Not Caring What People Think
- Train People to Deal With You
- Dealing With Assholes
- Dropping Out of School
My favorite chapter is a short one called The 3 Phases of Entrepreneurship. Many people start off in internet marketing offering services. Brad calls someone at this stage a Freelancer. The next step is learning to create your own products that you can sell over and over again. You are then a Producer. Brad encourages you to scale up your business by placing yourself as an Overseer who outsources many of the tasks.
If you are looking for a way to make money money online, you will get plenty of tips from Brad in Chronic Marketer.
